Time & language of presentation

Please prepare your contribution accordingly to the scheduled slots in the programme:

Chairpersons and speakers are requested to strictly adhere to the above-mentioned speaking times due to the large number of scientific contributions and in the interest of the last speaker of a block and the subsequent sessions!

The lecture programme will be presented in German or in the International Forum in English (slides and lecture). Sessions/speeches in English are marked with an English flag in the online programme.

Media handover & Technical information

Please provide your presentation in 16:9 format and hand it over to the central media reception/media centre. Visual abstracts with/without a short lecture will be uploaded in advance of the congress and do not need to be resubmitted on site (see Notes on Visual Abstracts).

The preferred file format is .pptx, alternatively pdf files are also permitted. The use of other formats may lead to deviations due to conversion problems or may not be displayed.

Please ensure that texts, diagrams, illustrations etc. are of a sufficient size.

A notebook with PDF reader and Microsoft PowerPoint 2021 will be provided for your presentation. To ensure a smooth and efficient process, we kindly ask you to refrain from using your own notebook.

We will start your presentation in full screen and place a speaking time display (bottom right) over your presentation. The speaking time display will be shown automatically at the beginning and end of your presentation and will be seen by the chairperson and the auditorium.

For ecological reasons, we do not use printed speaker signs on the lectern. Therefore, please include your name on the start slide or at best as a footer in your presentation.

Presentations with embedded videos:

When using video sequences, please bear in mind,

  • ...that the CODEC required for video clips is supplied and that PowerPoint supports them: ..: Instructions

Disclosure of COI

In accordance to international standards on the necessary transparency of potential conflicts of interest (COI), we ask you to disclose your business, personal and/or material relationships with industrial companies, consulting companies or funding organisations or sponsors of medical institutions in the context of your engagement.

For a presentation, please include the relevant declaration on a separate slide before your presentation!

 

Beware of Phishing!

Do not pass on any personal information to companies unknown to you and not clearly identifiable as Conventus.

We warn against fraudulent emails (including telephone contact in some cases) regarding travel planning, registration or similar to participants in our events from companies that sometimes pretend to be our contractual partners. Conventus does not work with any external company in relation to your travel planning, conference registration or similar. Correspond only with the hotels directly or with us if your hotel booking is made through Conventus.

Think before you click or reply!

Always be wary of emails, links and attachments from unknown or suspicious sources. A reputable company should be identifiable by a detailed business email signature and should contact you personally (mention of the full name).

Report fraudulent emails to your email provider. If necessary, contact the consumer advice centre and/or the police.
