The application for the Visual Abstract Prices is optional as part of the submission of the Visuals Abstract by February 10, 2025. 

The German Society for Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Hals-Nasen-Ohren-Heilkunde, Kopf- und Hals-Chirurgie e. V. Bonn) offers 10 congress scholarships (Christian Hempel scholarship from Fahl Medizintechnik GmbH) for participation in the annual meetings of the society. 

The scholarship includes a lump sum of EUR 400 per scholarship holder. The costs will be reimbursed after final submission of the original receipts. In addition, the congress fee is waived for scholarship holders who are students of human medicine. 

Criteria for submission: 

  • Application deadline: 15 September to 31 October 2025
     
  • Requirements for the applicant: 
    • Enrolment at a university with a degree programme in human medicine at the time of application 
    • Doctoral candidate in otorhinolaryngology at the time of application
    • Registration of a contribution (presentation or visual abstracts) on the doctoral topic

As a large number of applications are expected, the scholarship holders will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by the Executive Board once the application documents have been received. The applicants will then be informed of the decision in writing. 

Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Hals-Nasen-Ohren-Heilkunde, Kopf- und Hals-Chirurgie e. V. Bonn, schreibt zur Förderung des HNO-ärztlichen Nachwuchses jährlich 10 Kongress-Stipendien (Christian Hempel-Stipendium der Fahl Medizintechnik GmbH) zur Teilnahme an den Jahresversammlungen der Gesellschaft aus. 

Das Stipendium umfasst pro Stipendiat oder Stipendiatin einen Pauschal-Betrag in Höhe von 400 EUR. Die Kostenerstattung erfolgt nach abschließender Vorlage der Originalbelege. Darüber hinaus entfällt für die Stipendiaten und Stipendiatinnen als Studenten der Humanmedizin die Kongressgebühr.

Da eine Vielzahl von Bewerbungen erwartet wird, erfolgt nach Eingang der Bewerbungsunterlagen die Auswahl der Stipendiaten und Stipendiatinnen durch ein vom Präsidium benanntes Preisrichtergremium. Die Bewerber und Bewerberinnen werden im Anschluss daran schriftlich über die Entscheidung informiert. 

The German ENT-Society offers a travel grant for the ENT-Congress in 2026, which will be held in Ulm/Germany from 13 – 16 May 2026. The President is Prof. Dr. med. Thomas K. Hoffmann, Ulm/Germany. Integrated in the congress is the “International Forum” (14th–15th May 2026) with presentations in English. The support amounts to 500 EUR and can be used for travelling and accommodation. The congress fee will be waived additionally. The grant aims at young ENT colleagues or scientists (age max. 35 years) from countries with limited resources to support visits abroad.

Timo Stöver, Frankfurt am Main/Germany. Integrated in the congress is the "International Forum" (Thursday, 29 May and Friday, 30 May 2025) with presentations in English. The support amounts to 500 EUR and can be used for travelling and accommodation. The congress fee will be waived additionally. The grant aims at young ENT colleagues or scientists (age max. 35 years) from countries with limited resources to support visits abroad.  

The number of grants is limited and decisions will be made by a committee, based on various criteria. The grant will be awarded during the conference.
