Guidelines and notes

You are allowed 2,000 characters for the abstract text including title, blank space and references (excluding author names). In accordance with international standards on the necessary transparency of potential conflicts of interest (COI), we ask you to disclose your business, personal and/or material relationships with industrial companies in your abstract.

First authors will be notified of acceptance via email by January 2025, and information will also be provided on the specified presentation format (oral presentation or visual abstract with/without short presentation) and time of presentation. All visual abstracts will be available for viewing by congress participants at the self-study terminals for the entire duration of the congress.

The presenting author is obliged to register for the ENT Congress for a fee. Please note that the author is not automatically registered by submitting the abstract. 

An abstract must be submitted in German or English. The publication must be in one of the two languages, but not bilingual. 

The abstract can be submitted in German or English. In addition, the following structure should be observed when preparing the abstract:

1. Introduction (background, relevance and research question of the study)
2. Material/method (patient population, method, statistical procedures)
3. Results (results with data and statistics)
4. Discussion (significance of the work presented and conclusion)

Please use these headings in bold type in the abstract text and ensure that the typography is as error-free as possible.

Present your work in a short, comprehensible and concise way in the form of a visual abstract. With only one presentation slide as a graphic overview, the essential contents of an abstract or research paper are summarized in a condensed form. The visual abstracts are presented both at the terminal for self-study and in the “Graphical Glimpse” sessions in the form of a short lecture.
